The intermittent fasting regimes
- Alternate Day Intermittent Fasting – (500 – 700 calories on fasting days)
- 5:2 Intermittent Fasting (Fasting 2 Days per week) – (500 – 700 calories on fasting days)
- Daily Time Restricted Feeding (Fasting 16-18 hours per day)
The benefits of intermittent fasting
- Increased stress resistance of cells and organs.
- Improved health (and possibly life span).
- Improved physical function (running endurance, balance, and coordination).
- Improved cognitive function (memory)
- Potential decreased risk for the following disease states:
- Obesity and Diabetes
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Cancer
- Neurodegenerative disorders
