The intermittent fasting regimes

  • Alternate Day Intermittent Fasting – (500 – 700 calories on fasting days)
  • 5:2 Intermittent Fasting (Fasting 2 Days per week) – (500 – 700 calories on fasting days)
  • Daily Time Restricted Feeding (Fasting 16-18 hours per day)

The benefits of intermittent fasting

  • Increased stress resistance of cells and organs.
  • Improved health (and possibly life span).
  • Improved physical function (running endurance, balance, and coordination).
  • Improved cognitive function (memory)
  • Potential decreased risk for the following disease states:
    • Obesity and Diabetes
    • Cardiovascular Disease
    • Cancer
    • Neurodegenerative disorders
